Two patrolwomen in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur, allegedly got into a heated argument.
According to a report in TV 5's 'Frontline Tonight,' PAT Amerah Mamayandug and Langgay were the officers involved.
Police authorities stated that both patrolwomen had just come from a seminar and began arguing upon arriving at their boarding house.
Suddenly, the rest of the people residing in the said boarding house heard a gunshot.

Both female police officers were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. however, patrolwoman Mamayandug was pronounced dead on arrival.
On the other hand, patrolwoman Langgay is currently recovering in the hospital.
Police authorities confiscated the firearms of both policewomen and investigations as to who shot who is still ongoing.
In the Philippines, if a police officer kills another police officer, they may face criminal charges such as homicide or murder, depending on whether the act was intentional or premeditated.
The Philippine National Police Internal Affairs Service and other agencies will investigate, and if found guilty, the officer could face life imprisonment or penalties under the Revised Penal Code.
