A pawnshop in Davao City fell victim to a daring daylight robbery when four armed men stormed the establishment, subduing two security guards and making off with approximately P100 million worth of jewelry.

According to a report by Frontline Pilipinas, the suspects carried out the heist swiftly, overpowering the guards before looting the pawnshop.

CCTV footage captured the actual robbery, including the suspects' escape.

Three of the robbers attempted to flee on a single motorcycle, but it stalled on the road, forcing them to abandon the vehicle.

Authorities immediately launched a hot pursuit operation, leading to the arrest of one suspect at the Bangkerohan Public Market.

The suspect that they have apprehended was allegedly a resident of Leyte.

During the arrest, police recovered around P15 million worth of stolen jewelry.

Law enforcement continues to track down the remaining suspects and urges the public to report any information that may aid in their capture.

The daring nature of the heist and the massive amount stolen have raised concerns about security measures in financial establishments.

Authorities are still pursuing the suspects.
