Two patients were present at the time of the raid and were promptly transferred to a licensed hospital for proper care and evaluation.
Dr. Lee and his assistant are now facing serious legal repercussions.
They are expected to be charged with violations of both the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act of 2009 and the Medical Act of 1959.
Following the arrests, Dr. Lee declined to make any statement regarding the allegations.
The investigation, however, is far from over.
Authorities have indicated their intention to delve deeper into the activities of the illegal clinic, including the possibility that it catered to employees of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
This line of inquiry stems from previous observations of the condominium complex being associated with POGO workers and related activities, such as personal debt issues.
The PNP-CIDG will continue its investigation to uncover the full network of individuals involved in the operation of the illegal clinic and to ensure that all those responsible are brought to justice.
