An SUV displaying an Office of the President sticker crashed into a pole early Wednesday morning in Manila, with a motorcycle rider also injured.

The incident occurred just past midnight on Taft Avenue, where personnel from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) arrived on the scene.
In a report by GMA News, authorities stated that the SUV, driven by a Chinese national, collided with the pole, injuring the motorcycle rider.
"Nag-radio sa amin na meron nga raw aksidente ditong nangyari. Sumalpok yata siya dito sa poste," said John Tecson, operations supervisor of MDRRMO.

The crash caused significant damage to both the SUV—affecting both the front and rear—and the motorcycle, which sustained damage to its front.
MDRRMO personnel provided first aid to the motorcyclist, who had injuries to various parts of his body, before he was rushed to the hospital.
The SUV driver suffered a scratch on his arm.
Authorities suspect the SUV driver may have been under the influence of alcohol, and the police investigation is ongoing.
It took about 30 minutes to remove the SUV and clear the road of glass and oil from the accident.
The SUV’s Office of the President sticker is being investigated for legitimacy and authenticity.
The driver is now in the custody of the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit.
When questioned, he only offered repeated apologies, saying, "Sorry, sorry."
