According to a report by Katrina Son on GMA News 24 Oras on Tuesday, the victim hired the 30-year-old suspect on February 12, trusting him due to his diligence and good communication skills.

However, just two days later, he vanished, taking the victim’s vault, vehicles, and pets.

"The house looked very messy because she was in a hurry to grab the items and leave. I felt terrible because she had only been in my house for a day. How could she have done all of this alone? She is a professional scammer," the victim said.

The victim’s secretary believes the crime was premeditated.

“Parang inaral niya po kami, mas magaling po kasi siya sumagot tapos marami na rin daw po kasi siyang experience talaga,” the secretary noted.

Authorities tracked down and arrested the suspect more than a week later at a subdivision in Cainta, Rizal.

Police Colonel Marlon Guimno, Regional Chief of the NCR Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, revealed that the suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant and multiple victims.

“Sa katunayan nga po meron na po siyang warrant of arrest. Marami na po siyang biktima marami pong pumupunta dito at saka tinuro siya," Guimno said, adding that the suspect allegedly committed the crimes to support a g@mbling habit.

The suspect primarily targeted Mandarin-speaking Chinese residents but also victimized Filipinos. One Filipina said she was scammed while hiring a housekeeper for her mother.

The suspect also posed as a real estate agent, asking for money to process documents but never following through.
