An 8-year-old Grade 2 student was pronounced dead on the spot after being run over by a 10-wheeler truck.
According to a report by TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the tragic incident occurred on the national highway in Minglanilla, Cebu.
The young victim suffered multiple bone fractures on her feet and severe injuries to her stomach.
She fell from a motorcycle and was thrown onto the road, where an incoming 10-wheeler truck carrying cement tragically rolled over her.

According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle lost its control, resulting in it falling. Tragically, the 10-wheeler truck carrying cement was incoming which was why it hit the 8-year-old girl.
In an interview by TV 5 with a witness named Arjaks Cabaluna, he said the motorcycle rider might've planned to overtake but was rattled when he saw another motorcycle parked in the area.
As it turned out, the motorcycle rider was the victim's uncle. As reported, the rider was still practicing how to drive a motorcycle.
The victim's mother was crying in pain upon seeing the tragedy that fell upon her daughter.
"Ang sakit po nang malaman kong namatay ang aking anak. Sabi ko sa nanay ko bakit siya namatay na nandiyan lang siya sa inyo? Sabi niya hindi namin alam na umalis pala sila," said the victim's mother.
