A heartbreaking discovery was made in Mandaue City, Cebu, after a fetus was found wrapped in plastic and abandoned on the side of the road.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV on Balitanghali Tuesday, a local resident came across the fetus while on his way to the city hall.

The discovery was made near the Mandaue City Public Market, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the abandonment.

When police authorities came to inspect what was inside the suitcase, they found a bloated body of a minor girl. According to the police, the body was in fetal position, clothes were intact, but wounds were found on her body.
