Three minors were rescued by police authorities in Iligan City.

In a police operation, two suspects, aged 45 and 38, were arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting the minor victims online.

According to a report from GMA 7's program 'Balitanghali,' courtesy of GMA Regional TV, the victims included two 13-year-old girls and a 16-year-old boy.

Police authorities are still investigating whether the victims and the suspects have any familial connections.

Confiscated during the arrest were cellular phones, sex toys, laptop, and official receipt of transactions done from money remitting centers.

Most importantly, gathered were documents showing the name and phone number of the foreigners the suspects were allegedly transacting with.

The arrested suspects refused to give any statement about the crime.

Meanwhile, the minor victims were brought to the City Social Welfare and Development office of Iligan.

Online sexual exploitation happens in different ways, often involving predators who target vulnerable individuals, especially minors.

Some common methods include grooming, where offenders build trust through social media before manipulating victims into sharing explicit content, and sextortion, where criminals use explicit images to blackmail victims.

Other forms include live streaming exploitation, online sex trafficking, and deepfake abuse, making it crucial for parents, educators, and authorities to stay vigilant against these crimes.

When police authorities came to inspect what was inside the suitcase, they found a bloated body of a minor girl. According to the police, the body was in fetal position, clothes were intact, but wounds were found on her body.
