A Grade 10 student in Davao City was injured after being struck in the face with a hollow block.

The incident, captured on video, occurred outside a diner in Barangay Crossing Bayabas, Toril district, last Friday.

The footage, aired on GMA News' Unang Balita this past Monday, shows the victim standing outside the establishment when the suspect suddenly attacked.

The suspect, identified as a 16-year-old resident of the same barangay, fled immediately after the attack.

Police reports indicate that the victim sustained injuries to his eyebrow.

Despite the suspect's attempt to strike the student again, the victim managed to escape with the help of his companions.
