A 22-year-old man was stabbed in his left cheek in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The incident took place in Barangay San Rafael and stemmed from a teasing encounter.
Based on police investigations, the victim and his companions were passing by the area where the suspect and others were drinking.
In an interview with PLTCOL. Paul Macasa Sabulao, Chief of Rodriguez Police, it was revealed that the victim was pushing a malfunctioning motorcycle when the altercation occurred.

Someone from the suspect's side said "Sunugin niyo na 'yan," then threw a lighter which actually started a fight between the suspect and the victim.
Police added that when the suspect was losing the fistfight, he went inside their house, and when he came back, he was already holding a butterfly knife.
The victim sustained a huge stab wound in his left cheek.
Just hours after the incident, the police managed to arrest the suspect.
According to the 27-year-old suspect, it wasn't him who teased the victim but one of his companions.
The victim has finally decided to file a case against the suspect who will be charged with frustrated homicide.
