“We already sent a letter to the NBI stating that my client will no longer attend their hearing. The NBI can simply forward the matter to the appropriate fiscal’s office with jurisdiction over the case, and we will respond there,” said his lawyer, Oscar Karaan.
Despite preparing to face the complaint legally, Ignacio’s camp expressed hope that the issue could still be resolved privately.

“My client is making efforts to mend things with his girlfriend in hopes of settling this out of court. It doesn’t need to escalate further, especially since social media is already feasting on the issue,” Karaan explained.
He emphasized that while Ignacio preferred a resolution outside the legal system, they were ready to face the case if necessary.
“Just because a complaint has been filed doesn’t mean it’s true. An accusation is not the same as evidence,” Karaan said.
Ignacio has been under heavy scrutiny online, with social media users closely following the controversy.
“He’s going through a tough time with all the criticism, but his main focus is resolving things privately with his fiancée so they can move forward with their planned wedding,” Karaan added.
