After taking the cash from the register, the suspect forced the employees to open the vault in the storage area.

The two suspects then fled the scene. The total amount taken in the robbery is estimated to be over ₱200,000.

Following a follow-up operation, the two suspects were apprehended in Dinalupihan, Bataan.

Police Major Phoe Pangan Jr., chief of the Hermosa Police Station, stated that the two suspects are initially known to be involved in illegal drug activities.

He further added that convenience stores are often targeted because they typically lack security guards.

Authorities recovered a pellet gun from the suspects, believed to be the weapon used in the robbery.

However, only ₱8,000 of the stolen money was recovered from the suspects.

The suspects, who remained silent during questioning, will face appropriate charges.

The incident highlights the vulnerability of establishments like convenience stores to robberies, particularly those without security personnel.

The relatively small amount of recovered money suggests that the suspects may have already spent a significant portion of the stolen funds.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are likely exploring various leads to determine the suspects' motives and any possible connections to other crimes.

The arrest of the suspects is a positive development, but the recovery of the full amount of stolen money remains a concern.
