According to the adoptive parent, who is working abroad, and her friend who acted as go-between, the mother of the baby, Marlyn Villarante, would have to return all the monies given her relating to the said adoption.
Alias “Margie,” the adoptive parent, and alias “Joy,” her friend who acted as go-between, said that Marlyn needed to return the 40K plus the cash “Margie” gave her for her medical expenses prior to giving birth.

Both parties went to Senator Raffy Tulfo’s show, “Raffy Tulfo In Action,” so their issue could be resolved.
When asked by the show’s host at the time, Atty. JV Hernandez, as to why she gave up her child for adoption, Marlyn said it was out of poverty.

She also dismissed the notion that she gave up her child for the sum of 40K.
Atty. JV asked again.
However, alias “Joy” disputed some of the claims of Marlyn.
She then narrated how a friend of her, alias “Margie,” by a stroke of coincidence, called her a few days later expressing her intention to adopt a child.
Alias “Joy” then acted as the conduit between Marlyn and alias “Margie,” where the agreement for the supposed adoption occurred.
