A 78-year-old man was arrested in Antipolo City for allegedly taking advantage of his own granddaughter.
As reported on GMA 7's '24 Oras,' the 18-year-old victim herself filed the complaint against her grandfather.
According to police authorities, the victim’s uncle was also involved in the crime.
The two suspects had allegedly been committing the offense since the victim was just 15 years old.

The victim reportedly told her grandmother about it but she didn't believe her story that's why the victim told it to a distant relative.
Police authorities are still looking for the victim's uncle who's still at large.
In defense of the accused suspect, he scolded the girl about missing money that's why his granddaughter resorted to making up a story to imprison him.
In the Philippines, a man proven guilty of taking advantage of his own grandchild faces life imprisonment under Republic Act No. 7610 and Republic Act No. 8353. If the victim is under 12 years old, the crime is classified as statutory rape, and consent is not a valid defense.
The suspect will be imprisoned without parole, registered as a sex offender, and required to pay civil damages, while the government provides legal and psychological support to the victim.
