Carabaos (water buffaloes) are generally gentle and docile, especially when domesticated. They are commonly used for farming and are accustomed to human interaction. However, like any large animal, they can become aggressive in certain situations.

A carabao may defend itself if it feels threatened or provoked, and mother carabaos can be territorial and protective of their young.

During mating season, bulls tend to be more aggressive, particularly when competing for a mate. Additionally, an injured or sick carabao might react unpredictably.
