A 26-year-old man from Davao City hacked his 60-year-old father to death last Tuesday.
According to a report by Rgil Ralator on GMA Regional TV 'One Mindanao,' police said the two had just come from a birthday celebration and continued drinking at home.
During their drinking session, they got into a heated argument, which led the son to grab a machete.
Brought by strong emotions and influenced by alcohol, he then attacked his father with the weapon.

They managed to bring the senior citizen victim to the hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival due to multiple wounds on the different parts of his body.
A neighbor allegedly saw the suspect coming out of their house while holding the machete and he blatantly said what he did to his father.
The 26-year-old suspect also claimed that it was his father who started hacking him.
According to police authorities, the suspect also sustained a wound on his arm but one of the suspect's relatives confessed that he inflicted the wounds to himself.
The suspect eventually turned himself into the police. He will be charged with parricide.
