According to the man's wife, she didn't expect her husband to climb the coconut tree because the nature of his work was house construction.

The wife added her husband was the fifth person asked to climb the tree because the first four declined.

He reportedly did it as an extra source of cash because their house rent was almost due.

The owner of the van and coconut tree took responsibility for the expenses for the man's memorial services, including burial.

Meanwhile, the man's family wouldn't want to blame anybody since what happened was an accident.
