The said video was posted on Facebook by the late PNP officer’s wife, Rio Alanis Taganas-Malabed.

It wasn’t clear if the video call happened during the time Col. Malabed was already in the United States or India and whether or not it was the last one he had with his little daughter.

Earlier, the video of Talna bawling as Col. Malabed bids her goodbye at the airport as he prepares to board the flight that would take him to the United States and India has gone viral.

It can be recalled that Col. Malabed is one of the 60 passengers aboard the American Eagle Flight No. 5342 who perished when a military chopper collided with them mid-air over the skies of Washington DC.

All 60 passengers of the plane, along with its four crew members, as well as the three military men onboard the Sikorsky H-60 of the U.S. Army, perished in the collision. There were no survivors.

In the video post of Rio, she also included a heart-wrenching caption that could explain what the PNP official’s wife might be feeling at this time.

“Papunta na ko sa‘yo lablab ko. Magkikita na tayo ulit,” Rio wrote.

Earlier, Col. Malabed Jr’s video showing him bidding his wife and daughter goodbye has gone viral. The video was posted by the wife of the police colonel last January 22 and was taken at the time he flew to the United States for an official trip. It can be recalled that P/Col Malabed was among the casualties in the fatal mid-air collision of a military chopper and a passenger jet over the skies of Washington DC. In the video, one can see the little daughter of the police colonel crying hard and grabbing him by the collar of his shirt as if trying to stop him from flying to the US.

It can be recalled that last Friday, January 31, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla confirmed that a high-ranking PNP official was was among the casualties in the mid-air collision between a chopper and a US passenger jet in Washington DC. He also said that the said official, who carries the rank of a colonel, is the head of one of the divisions within the Philippine National Police. The Interior Secretary also said that the PNP official is on official travel at the time of his death.
