- An honest taxi driver returned a bag containing P2.4 million cash to its rightful owner
- In a report by Zen Quilantang-Sasa of GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas, the taxi driver was identified as Anthony Barredo Aguirre
- He was already home at Barangay Amparo sa Pavia, Iloilo when his operator called him and asked if there was a bag left in his taxi
- As it turned out, there was a bag under the passenger side of the taxi

He immediately brought the bag to the police station.
According to the report, the bag belonged to a person named Rudy, a resident of Palawan. He was with his wife and grandchildren when he accidentally forgot the bag containing cash.
“Sa panahon ngayon bihira ka na lang makakakita ng mga honest. Tayo nga na may trabaho, kinukulang tayo financially. So kumbaga, hindi siya nagdalawang-isip na itago o ano. Ang naisip nya, ibalik,” said Police Captain Lester Oliveros, Police Station 8 chief.
“Happy ako sa aking asawa. Nakatagpo siya ng pera tapos ibinalik nya kasi hindi naman dahil totoong nangangailangan rin kami, kundi dahil hindi sa amin yon,” Aguirre's wife, Ma. Elna proudly said.

Aguirre said it's his habit to return everything that's being accidentally left by his passengers. In this case, he doesn't care about reward money as long as he did the right thing by returning the money.
