John Arcilla expressed his frank thoughts on the video of a security guard shooing away a young girl selling sampaguita garlands in front of SM Megamall.

The guard was also caught in the video destroying the child vendor's bundles of sampaguita. This prompted the girl, dressed in a school uniform, to hit back with the ruined garlands while the guard retaliated by kicking the child vendor.

The veteran actor took to Instagram to repost the now-viral video. In the caption, the veteran actor also aired support for the child vendor and called out the guard.

In the comments section of his post, it is noticeable that John replied to a netizen who seemed not convinced that the girl was a real student.

“Investigate po muna dapat kasi marami din na namamalimos/benta anywhere naka uniform pero kapag tinatanong sila anong school kumakaripas ng alis na. Madami din ganyan sa bandang mindanao ave. Saka po marami sindikato na nagpapaganyan na kagaya ng ganyan na modus pero di ko nilalahat po na nagbebenta ng products,” the comment reads.

In his frank response, John came to the young girl's defense.

“Naghahanap buhay ang bata, may paninda, kahit pa hindi siya totoong estudyante, mas maayos na ito kaysa mamalimos, pero kahit pulubi, hindi naman kailangan imaltrato ng kahit na sino,” the actor penned.

“Kung hindi mahirap ang buhay ng bata, sa palagay ko ay hindi niya papasukin ang pagtitinda ng sampaguita at pagsosoot ng uniporme na hindi kanya. Mahirap ang buhay niya. Hindi na kailangan pahirapin pa,” he added.
