Lady Grace Galo, a 19-year-odl second-year-college student and an active altar server, died after she was stabbed several times by a suspect who allegedly tried to molest her.

The incident happened around 12 p.m. on Jan. 10 in Misamis Oriental.

Based on the report of News5, the victim was alone in her home and the suspect came through the window.

Investigation showed that she tried to defend herself, but was stabbed on the neck and on different parts of the body.

Authorities went back to the crime scene to look for more evidence.

"The kitchen knife was found without a handle behind the victim's house and the handle was found a few meters away from the knife," P/Capt. Loudivina Fuentes, PIO Misamis Oriental PPO said.

Police authorities said that the motive of the suspect is really to molest the victim, and they are now currently looking at four persons of interest.

In other news, a traffic enforcer was almost ran down by a motorist after the latter was called out for a traffic violation. According to GMA News, the traffic enforcer wanted to issue a ticket for illegal turn. However, instead of stopping, the driver kept on moving forward although the enforcer was already in front. It then continued to move forward and escaped.

Meanwhile, a man was arrested after he stole a crown that belongs to a statue of Mama Mary from the church. According to the GMA Regional TV, the suspect also took the chalice and the money from the donation box. He also said that he was tasked by Mama Mary to do what he did. It was later found that the suspect already had previous records.
