Two workers lost their lives due to suffocation while cleaning a restaurant's septic tank in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Based on police investigations, they were performing siphoning operations, but the septic tank of the restaurant was clogged.

In a report by GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' the first worker went inside to fix the problem but began complaining of a headache and trouble breathing.

A second worker entered to assist him, but unfortunately, both were pronounced dead on arrival at the Rural Health Center.

The relatives of the deceased workers no longer proceeded with filing a legal complaint.
