A 26-year-old construction worker was found floating in a river in Antipolo, Rizal, on December 10.

According to his mother, her son asked for permission on December 8 to go out drinking with his colleagues.

However, he never came home, and his mother assumed he was staying at their barracks.

In a report in GMA 7's 'Balitanghali', on December 10, residents in Sitio Saguipin, Brgy. Dela Paz, spotted something floating in the river and quickly reported it to barangay officials.

The mother also added, her son doesn't have any issues with anyone at work. However, she asked whoever was involved in her son's death (if there's any) to surrender.

Authorities are still investigating the incident and doing back tracking of CCTVs.

However, a construction worker saw them and called them out; that's when they tried to flee from the scene and jumped into a creek.
