A woman with a disability from San Juan, Batangas, was reportedly strangled and burned to death by her own relatives.

Police said the victim’s burned body was discovered in a coal-making area.

Her child, who witnessed the crime, helped identify the victim.

The suspects, a couple who lived in the same house as the victim, were arrested during a follow-up operation.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the alleged suspects who refused to give their statements will be facing a murder case.
