Pandi, Bulacan Mayor Enrico Roque, and two others were arrested on Tuesday.

In a report by GMA News Online, the Northern Police District stated that Roque, a municipal councilor from Pandi, and another male government employee were involved in the arrest.

They are reportedly facing two counts of rape, according to the police.

Legal proceedings will follow, and no bail has been recommended for the suspects.

On the other hand, the alleged suspects have filed a motion to quash the arrest warrant and information, claiming the accusation was “politically motivated.”

The incident happened in Barangay Imelda, Baguio City, yesterday. According to the police's investigation, the teenager was accompanied by a 10-year-old boy in his attempt to steal a bicycle. However, a construction worker saw them and called them out; that's when they tried to flee from the scene and jumped into a creek.
