A newborn with the umbilical cord still attached has been found dead on a garbage heap on a sidewalk in Antipolo City.
In a report by GMA Integrated News' "Unang Balita," a CCTV footage showed that a man sorting the pile of garbage discovered the newborn's lifeless body stored in a bag.
"Nakita ko po 'yung isang bag diyan. Binuhos ko, hindi po ininda 'yung amoy," the man named Joseph Cinco Camoru, who was stunned by the dead infant he found, told GMA.
"Sobrang itim na po niya. Wala na po 'yung mukha niya, hindi na makilala kasi sobrang maga na po niya," a barangay tanod who responded to the incident said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to Antipolo police.
"Patuloy kaming nagko-conduct ng tracking ng mga CCTV footage para makita kung sino talaga ‘yung actual na nagtapon ng nasabing sanggol, sa gayon ay mapanagot natin sa batas ang nasabing suspek natin," PCPT Alnor De Vera Tagara stated.

When they checked the woman inside, she was no longer wearing undergarments, and her upper dress was lifted up.
