- The Philippine Statistics Authority has released an official statement, saying that they found no birth record for a certain "Mary Grace Piattos"

- The name "Mary Grace Piattos," became very popular after it appeared on a series of acknowledgment receipts that the OVP submitted to state auditors

- Lawmakers then tapped the PSA to check for the birth record off the alleged recipient

- A negative birth record was the result from the PSA search, albeit it noted that it could still make a further check if the names of the parents of Piattos are revealed

The Philippine Statistics Authority has issued a negative record of birth for Mary Grace Piattos, the controversial name of the alleged recipient of confidential funds from the OVP.

In the agency's certification, it noted that it searched three databases for the name, but on all three databases, a negative result was yielded.

The PSA searched the Certificate of Live Birth (COLB), Certificate of Marriage (COM), and Certificate of Death (COD) databases.

According to the PSA, in ABS-CBN's report, it could do a further search if the names of he parents of Mary Grace Piattos will be revealed.
