- Instead, her lawyer, Paul Lim, represented VP Sara; with him was a letter from the VP asking for a reschedule of her appearance at the NBI

Vice President Sara Duterte was unable to attend in person in response to the National Bureau of Investigation's invitation.

The NBI had earlier issued a subpoena to the Vice President regarding her "threat" remarks against President Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Reports stated that VP Duterte learned too late about the cancellation of her scheduled appearance at the House of Representatives.

Instead, her lawyer, Paul Lim, appeared on her behalf, carrying a letter from the VP requesting a reschedule of her NBI appearance.

In a LIVE report by UNTV News and Rescue, VP Sara also reportedly asked for a copy of the complaint against her and other documents about the investigation.

Additionally, Vice President Sara Duterte clapped back at President Bongbong Marcos' remarks about her alleged threat to him and his wife, First Lady Liza Marcos. In an ambush interview, the VP also questioned why a threat to the president's life is considered a national security concern while a threat to the vice president wasn't treated as such. VP Sara previously said that what she said last weekend was "taken out of logical context." The VP said "Papalagan ko din 'yung ginagawa nila sakin," referring to the unfair treatment to her and members of the OVP.
