According to the report of State of the Nation of GMA News, the victim went to the suspect to recover the debt.
They ended up arguing and it eventually turned physical.
The debtor hacked the victim and fled thereafter.

Police authorities were able to catch him and effected his arrest.

It was found that an employee of the company tasked the suspects to assault the victim in exchange for payment and a job at the company.
