The Land Transportation Office (LTO) confirmed that the widely shared SUV with plate number "7" was using a fake license plate.
LTO officials clarified that they had never issued a protocol plate for a senator to the said vehicle.
This SUV had reportedly entered the EDSA bus lane and sped off when flagged down by a traffic enforcer.
Senate President Chiz Escudero has urged the SUV owner to take full responsibility for the incident, highlighting that it not only breached traffic laws but also cast a negative light on the Senate’s image.

Also, LTO is still waiting for additional information from the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation of DOTR for them to finally identify the owner and driver of the SUV.

In the video uploaded by the Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation, one can see the SUV with plate number 7 trying to go forward even if the female enforcer is already blocking its path. When the enforcer did not budge, the SUV backed up until it reached an open barrier and then turned and fled with the passenger in the back flipping a birdie to the enforcers.
In another viral report by KAMI, a 16-year-old boy jumped into a creek but unfortunately died after allegedly trying to steal a bicycle. The incident happened in Barangay Imelda, Baguio City, yesterday. According to the police's investigation, the teenager was accompanied by a 10-year-old boy in his attempt to steal a bicycle. However, a construction worker saw them and called them out; that's when they tried to flee from the scene and jumped into a creek.
