The video of this dedicated man, Randy Mondares, quickly went viral.
Many netizens praised his determination, and he received donations in cash and goods from those moved by his story.
However, if there’s one more heartfelt wish that Randy hopes to fulfill, it’s to meet his biological mother.

Severe Tropical Storm Trami, called Kristine in the Philippines, recently moved through the South China Sea after hitting the Philippines in October 2024. It was the 20th named storm of the season, intensifying as it moved west and impacting several Philippine regions. PAGASA issued wind alerts across areas like Bicol, Cordillera, and Ilocos, already recovering from previous storms. Daet, Camarines Norte recorded an exceptional 528.5 mm of rain, the highest 24-hour total since the 1920s.
In a previous report by KAMI, residents of Camarines Sur, particularly those who were affected by typhoon Kristine are now facing extreme thirst and hunger. In an exclusive video by GMA News, it showed the bitter truth about this issue by the victims of the typhoon. Residents were all rushing and racing against each other just to grab a pack of relief good. Sadly, some residents including children were forced to beg from the roadsides, hoping for any kind of donations from passer-by motorists.
In another report, a senior citizen who's believed to be over 80 years old was found dead inside his house in Zone VII, Libon, Albay. According to a report by ABS-CBN News, the elderly man was left alone at home and was trapped inside because of the flood. Rescuers, volunteers, including the Chairman of Zone VII, were making rounds within the flooded area to rescue trapped residents. However, when they arrived at the elderly man's house, he was already dead.
