The embattled church minister was at the Senate today to attend a hearing conducted by the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, chaired by Sen. Risa Hontiveros.

In his message, Pastor Quiboloy urged his flock at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church to just be strong.

He also reminded them that the truth shall set them free.

“To KOJC, tatag lang. Basta the truth shall set us free. Jesus Christ said you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free,” Pastor Quiboloy said.

He also said that if his accusers are telling the truth, they should file cases against him in court.

“If these people are telling the truth, they should go to court,” Pastor Quiboloy added.

Apollo Carreon Quiboloy is a church leader in the Philippines. He is the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. He has made claims that he is "The Appointed Son of God" as well as being "The Owner of the Universe".

Last month, ABS-CBN reported that Pastor Quiboloy continues to study the bible while in detention. This was disclosed to the news outfit by one of his lawyers, Atty. Mark Tolentino, who described their meeting as a “bible study.” He said that their discussions centered on spiritual matters rather than legal things. Atty. Tolentino also said that Quiboloy is getting bored and feeling isolated after his co-accused were transferred to the Pasig City Jail.

Earlier last month, the embattled church minister and Kingdom of Jesus Christ founder, was presented to the media by Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and the Philippine National Police authorities. He was escorted by policemen during a press conference in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday. His co-accused Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada and Sylvia Cemañes were also presented. The religious leader was arrested on Sunday after the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines gave him an ultimatum to surrender.
