A 21-year-old rider died on the spot after the motorcycle that he was riding collided with a passenger jeepney.

According to the report in "Unang Balita" of GMA News, the accident happened around 3:30 am at Zapote Road in Brgy. 177 in Caloocan City.

Based on the investigation of authorities, the jeepney overtook another jeepney, and as he was about to return to his lane, crashed and collided with the rider.

The driver admitted that he overtook another jeepney but said that the rider was still quite far when he saw him.

"Kakanan sana ako gigilid sana ako kaso nga lang siya hindi talaga nag-ano... bumalik sa puwesto niya, dumiretso talaga sa gitna," he said.
