A lineman from the Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENPELCO) reportedly came into contact with a live wire while performing preventive maintenance.
Judyann Santos Rico, who posted a video of rescuers trying to help the lineman, said she heard a loud explosion outside.
In a report by GMA News, the victim suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he passed away.
CENPELCO's management has formed a fact-finding committee to investigate further, stating that there should have been no power on the lines where maintenance was being carried out.

They also promised to financially help the family's victim. The bereaved family hasn't released any statement yet nor entertained any interview invite about the incident.

Authorities are already looking at some persons of interest, and they're confirming some facts about a report that 5 men were allegedly involved in the incident.
