A man who had just been released from prison was shot several times and died instantly in Baseco Compound, Manila.
In a report by GMA News, police said one of the suspects had testified against him in a murder case last March.
Authorities are now focusing on cheating in drug deals as the main reason for the killing.
"Di umano, itong ating biktima ay pinagbabantaan yung grupo partikular na po yung isang tao na tumestigo laban sa kanya noon pong siya po ay naging suspek oh... nung siya po ay ating naaresto,” said Police Captain Dennis Turla, MPD Homicide Section chief.

"Madami po yung kanyang tinamong tama ng bala sa katawan," added Police Captain Turla.
In a follow-up operation, the police arrested the person who allegedly gave the gun to the shooter.

In a CCTV footage, the rider parked his motorcycle on one side of the gasoline station, took out a machete from his utility box, and swung it right in the face of the gasoline boy. Thankfully, the suspect was caught by a security guard, and the victim was quickly taken to the hospital and is now recovering from the wound.
