The mastermind in the killing of Lerma Lulu and her husband, Arvin Lulu, on October 4 in a broad daylight ambush, allegedly ordered the gunmen to kill the couple and whoever is with them inside the car.

This was revealed in a press briefing today by PCol Jay Dimaandal, the Provincial Director of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office.
During the interview, a reporter asked about the six-year-old son of the Lulu couple and a relative who survived.
“Isa po siguro sa nakakadurog sa puso na aspeto ng krimen na ito yung ang sinapit nung dalawang bata, yung anim na talong gulang na anak at isang kamag-anak. Ano po ba yun? Hindi nakita ng mga shooter? O talagang hindi talaga kasama kahit nakita nila. They were spared. Papano po ba nangyari?” The reporter asked.

According to the Provincial Director, the mastermind told the gunmen to kill everyone inside the vehicle of the Lulu couple and to retrieve the check he issued amounting to millions of pesos.
“Actually, hindi po eh. Ganun ito katindi itong mastermind. Kasi po, binanggit din po niya dun sa middleman na ang sabi 'kahit na sino ang nandun, basta makuha lang yung talbog na tseke tsaka yung cellphone’. So considering na ganun yung utos niya eh wala na rin po siyang pakialam kung sino po yung nakasakay dun sa sasakyan,” PCol Dimaandal revealed.
“Nagkataon po siguro hindi nakita,” the reporter asked to which the Provincial Director agreed that it could be so.
“Siguro po,” the Provincial Director agreed.
Earlier, authorities revealed the motive behind the killing could be twofold, one is to wipe out the millions of debt and two, if the Lulu couple were gone, the mastermind would replace them as exclusive distributors.
Lerms Lulu, a popular online seller, and her husband Arvin Lulu, were killed in a broad daylight ambush in Pampanga. Lerms Lulu, whose real name is Lerma Waje Lulu, is one of the top distributors of “Brilliant Skin,” a rising cosmetic brand. In a report by Rappler quoting police authorities, the victims were onboard their vehicle when the incident happened. Many netizens, expressing shock at what happened, condoled with the family of the victims and also demanded justice for their untimely demise.
The suspects in the killing of Lerma "Lerms" Lulu and Arvin Lulu were presented by the Philippine National Police earlier. It can be recalled that authorities apprehended seven individuals tagged in the murder of the couple. Tracker teams from the Mexico Municipal Police Station worked hand in hand with the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion and the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies, had an operation from Oct. 13 to 14. The mastermind was allegedly a certain Anthony Limon, and that those who carried out the hit were gun for hire.
Earlier, the Philippine National Police promised to present the seven suspects in the alleged killing of the famous online sellers Lerms Lulu and her husband, Arvin Lulu at a later point. The suspects, according to the PNP, will be publicly presented by the authorities in a press conference. It can be recalled that a dragnet operation against the killers of Lerms Lulu and Arvin Lulu has been launched by the police. It was October 04 when the couple was shot and killed by a riding-in-tandem in Mexico, Pampanga.
