An 18-year-old student in Negros Oriental died after she was hit by a speeding motorcycle driven by a policeman.
The incident occurred right in front of their school, the Adventist Academy of Negros Oriental Siquijor.
According to the report of Frontline, the students had an activity in school, which was why they were there till the evening.
The students ate at a carinderia right across the school, and the victim, with two of her friends, crossed the road to get back to school.

As they were already in the middle of the road, the motorcycle hit them, and the victim died.
Another student sustained serious injuries, and is now in the hospital.
According to the policeman, he was destined in Cebu and was in a hurry to get to the shuttle since it was his birthday the following day.
