Sen. Risa Hontiveros, may maanghang na mensahe sa pagtakbo ni Ptr. Apollo Quiboloy bilang senador

Sen. Risa Hontiveros gave her frank opinion on the candidacy of Pt. Apollo Quiboloy for senator.

“Apollo Quiboloy, magkaroon naman kayo ng kaunting hiya," the senator said as per Philstar's report.

The senator then highlighted the accusations against the pastor, such as human trafficking and child abuse charges, and yet still have the guts to run for next elections.

"Para sa isang taong humaharap sa patong-patong na kaso kabilang ang human trafficking at child abuse, at nagtago pa nga sa batas, nagkaroon pa talaga kayo ng lakas ng loob na ipresenta ang iyong sarili sa taumbayan para maging mambabatas,” she said.

She then called on for Filipinos not to elect as lawmakers those who break the law.

Ana Theresia "Risa" Navarro Hontiveros-Baraquel is a Filipino politician, journalist, and community leader. She was born on February 24, 1966. She won a seat in the Philippine Senate, placing 9th, during the 2016 general elections. Previously, she served as Akbayan sectoral representative in the Philippine House of Representatives from 2004 to 2010.

In a previous statement, Sen. Risa said that suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping have the same fingerprints. The legislator said that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed that Guo’s fingerprints have matched with the said Chinese passport holder. As per Hontiveros, the findings confirm that Alice Guo is a “Pekeng Pilipino” like what she had suspected all along. The senator likewise described Guo as a “Chinese national masquerading as Filipino citizen to facilitate crimes being committed by POGO.”

In another news, Senator Risa was seen holding a copy of Vice President Sara Duterte’s book. The Office of the Vice President sent the book to the senator titled “Isang Kaibigan.” ABS-CBN News shared photos of the book, one of which shows Hontiveros browsing through the book. It can be recalled that during the Senate hearing for the OVP budget, Hontiveros asked Duterte about the content of the book that’s allotted P10 million in the budget.
