A woman died in Dasmarinas, Cavite, after her live-in partner mercilessly pumped two bullets into her, hitting the woman in the chest and causing her death.

In a report by GMA News, the incident happened around midnight, September 29, Sunday.

In an interview with authorities, Police Captain Polly Padios said that they have a witness who told them the couple were engaged in a fight just before the shooting occurred.

The witness, who happens to be the child of the victim, reportedly said that apparently, jealousy played a huge part in their argument, though the reason as to why he was jealous wasn’t mentioned in the report.

Amid their argument, the suspect shot the victim twice in the chest and fled.

The woman died from the gunshot wounds she sustain.

The police immediately went on a hot-pursuit operation so as to apprehend the suspect.

They were able to located the motorcycle he owned at his workplace, though there was no sign of him there.

The suspect is still at large as of this writing.

Meanwhile in a town in Bohol, a 40-year-old man was arrested and detained by authorities after his own mother filed a complaint against him for carnal assault. The 61-year-old mother narrated that her son had carnal knowledge of her twice, the first happened when she was 40 years old and her son was around 20 years old then and the latest was last September 27, 2024. In a report filed by GMA News, it revealed that the man was an ex-convict who was recently released from prison after serving a 14-year jail term for murder. His widowed mother, after the latest incident, sought the help of their barangay, who then turned over the case to the Candijay Police Station in Bohol.
