Several tombs in Kibawe, Bukidnon were recently ransacked with the corpses inside the tombs allegedly desecrated.

In an interview of residents by GMA Regional TV, they voiced out their suspicions that the perpetrators could have been grave robbers.

In a subsequent interview with the police, authorities alleged the grave robbers were said to have taken the kneecaps of corpses to be made into amulets.

“Actually, ang kanilang paniniwala ay 'yung buto ng tuhod ay gagawin umanong agimat. Ginagamit umano 'yan sa paggawa ng agimat,” Police Major Joann Navarro, the spokesperson of PRO-10, said.

She also said that the perpetrators could face criminal and civil cases for their actions.

“Ang tingnan natin siguro dito ay ang pagsira sa mga nitso kasi puwedeng malicious mischief at ginawang pag-disrespect o pag-desecrate sa isang bangkay, puwedeng paglabag ito sa [Article 309] ng Civil Code natin,” Major Navarro added.

The police said they are currently investigating the matter and are calling out those who may have some information to share about the incident to come forward.

In separate viral news report, a jeepney driver sustained injuries after he was stabbed by a passenger. According to the report of Unang Balita of GMA, the driver called out the passenger for not paying the fare. However, the passenger did not like it and pulled out a "balisong" and stabbed the driver. The other passengers also became afraid and alighted from the jeepney.

In another viral news, a woman who was just playing an online game in an alley was mercilessly shot by a gunman, causing her instantaneous death. The woman, who was a former OFW, was hit in the head by a bullet from a yet undetermined caliber of the gun. According to the sister of the woman, she just went to the said alley to play an online game on her mobile phone because the said area has a strong Internet connection. The police said they have already arrested the two suspects and is currently investigating the said case.
