The suspect in the murder of Rylai Kaye Barrun, the 8-year-old girl, who was found dead inside a sack by their neighbor, was arrested by authorities.

According to the report of GMA's "24 Oras Weekend," the suspect was arrested around 11 p.m. on Friday.

The report also revealed that the results of the autopsy showed that the girl was assaulted and strangled.

"Noong 8:30, nagsabi ako sa papa niya [na] mag-sandok ka na [at] pakainin mo mga bata. Si Rylai, wala pa [kaya] tawagin mo. Nangatok na po kami. Lahat ng bahay ng kalaro niya, kinatok namin. Hindi raw po nila nakita," recounted the mother of the victim, Kristelle Aborta.
