He had been searching for a better phone signal and didn’t notice the rising waters until it was too late.

At first, rescuers tried lowering a rope and a life jacket for the boy, but he hesitated to grab them, fearing the strength of the current.

In an unexpected twist, a local resident decided to wade into the river to assess the situation.

To everyone’s surprise, the water turned out to be much shallower than anticipated.

The resident confidently walked through the river’s current, reaching the boy with ease.

What began as a tense situation quickly turned to laughter as the boy was safely escorted out, unscathed.

KAMI recently reported about a motorcycle passenger tragically died while the rider survived with minor injuries after being hit by a bus on the EDSA busway near North Avenue Station in Quezon City. The incident occurred when the rider, a habal-habal driver, attempted an illegal U-turn by entering the busway.
