Carlos Yulo at mga Pinoy Olympian, binigyan ng Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony sa Malacañang Palace

Carlos yulo, along with the rest of the Philippine Olympic Team, were accorded a Heroes’ Welcome Ceremony at the Malacañang Palace.

The Pinoy Olympians arrived at the Villamor Airbase around 7:20PM onboard a chartered Philippine Airlines flight.

They were welcomed at the military airbase by government officials and fellow athletes, with little children standing in along the entire stretch of the red carpet while holding and waving Philippine flaglets.

The athletes and their companions rested briefly and then after a short while, boarded a bus that took them straight to Malacañang Palace, where a red carpet was also laid from the gate to the palace doors.

President Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, along with their two sons, were present to warmly welcome the Pinoy Olympians to the palace.

The recent Olympics is regarded by many as one of the most successful Olympic campaigns of the country where three Pinoy athletes were able to get two gold medals, courtesy of Carlos Yulo, and two bronze medals, courtesy of Aira Villegas and Nesthy Petecio.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics' men's floor exercise and men's vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

At around 7:20PM tonight, Carlos and his fellow Pinoy Olympians just landed at the Villamor Air Base. The Philippine Olympic team, along with 2-Olympic gold medalist Caloy, were treated to a red carpet welcome. Among those who welcomed the team were little kids standing the entire length of the red carpet and holding Philippine flaglets. Fellow athletes in the Philippines were also among those who welcomed the Olympians.

It can be recalled that Carlos made history for the Philippine Olympic campaign when he bagged not just one but two gold medals in different gymnastics event. This is the first time the Philippines won a medal in a gymnastics event and the first time two Olympic gold medals were won by a single athlete. The Olympian ruled the men's floor exercises of the artistic gymnastics competition and the men's vault. Because of this, he is set to receive lavish rewards both in monetary and real estate form. He will receive a cash prize of P10,000,000 from the government, a house and lot, and a condominium unit as pledged by a property developer.
