Roque, binalaan ni Gatchalian na isa-cite for contempt kung muling puputulin si Hontiveros

- Atty. Harry Roque was a resource person at the senate hearing chaired by Sen. Risa Hontiveros

- As the hearing progressed, Roque was speaking fast and Sen. Risa was also trying to speak

- However, the former cabinet member of former president Rodrigo Duterte was cutting off the lady senator

- At this juncture, Sen. Win took to the cudgels for Sen. Risa and warned Roque that he would be cited for contempt if he would once more disrespect and cut off Hontiveros

Atty. Harry Roque came to the senate hearing and was the resource person.

As he was explaining, there came a point when Sen. Risa also had something to say.

However, Roque kept on cutting her off as she speaks.

This incensed Sen. Win Gatchalian, who happens to be one of the members of the committee investigating the POGOs in the country.

The senator then told Roque that if he would once more cut off Sen. Risa whenever she would be saying something, he would be citing Roque for contempt.

"One more and I will cite you [for] contempt."

"If you disrespect the chairperson, we’ll be compelled to cite you [for] contempt."

The hearing was an investigation on the POGOs, and for so long a time, it has focused on Alice Leal Guo, the suspended Bamban mayor.

Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.

Recently, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has revealed that it is already looking at another fingerprint of an "Alice Guo." This time around, it was from a record in 2005. In GMA's report, it revealed that there was an Alice Guo who secured a clearance in 2005. The result of the fingerprint is set to be released within the day.

Meanwhile, it was found that suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo’s brother, Wesley Leal Guo, has the same fingerprints as Chinese national Guo Xiang Dian. Sen. Win Gatchalian presented on Wednesday the documents from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) citing the matched fingerprint results. As per the senator, Guo Xiang Dian arrived in the Philippines in 1999. Gatchalian also told reporters that the findings prove that the late registration process in the country was abused by the Guo family.
