According to the reports, they were operating a black market for human organs in Bulacan.
The transplant institute has also confirmed that Allan worked there.
While we confirm that the said nurse is indeed an employee of the NKTI, we would like to assure the public that the management is already conducting its own investigation on the matter,” the hospital said.
“We would also like to warn the public of transactions outside of the hospital entered into by certain groups, organizations, or private individuals claiming to be from the NKTI. The NKTI… honors only legitimate transactions regarding living organ donation and transplantation, including deceased organ donation,” added the NKTI.
Update:
The NKTI in a more recent press conference said that the suspected mastermind behind the syndicate group involved in kidney trafficking is not their head nurse.
“Si Mr. Allan Ligaya po, hindi po siya head nurse, iko-correct po namin ‘yun. Staff nurse not a head nurse. Siya po ay nagtatrabaho sa amin ng 23 years, 23 years na siya dito sa amin. Wala naman po siyang record pagdating sa trabaho,” NKTI deputy executive director for Nursing Services, Dr. Nerissa M. Gerial, said during the said press conference.

Thereafter, he allegedly sauntered off to buy a cigarette, and didn't bother to return the matchbox.
