A man in Dupax del Norte, Nueva Vizcaya, was arrested after he allegedly set fire to their home.

The man, based on the report of ABS-CBN, had an argument with his partner over the remains of his grandmother, due to the desire to transfer the said remains in Pangasinan, the province of the suspect.

In his anger, he went out and bought a cigarette from their neighbor, but did not return the matchbox.

Based on the report, it could have been the one that was used to burn their house in Brgy. Lamo.

While help was sought to put out the fire, the blaze spread fast due to the construction materials of the said house.

Later, they were able to find the suspect sleeping in the woods.

A case of arson will be filed against him.
