A recent cumlaude graduate has expressed her frustrations in a post on Facebook after her father was accused by a netizen of pocketing her P13 jeepney fare.
Hannah Clarisse Diego, a cumlaude graduate, said her father would not destroy their name for a measly 13 pesos.
She said that while they’re poor and often find themselves short on money, she said it is not in their character or nature that they would take advantage of or trample on people.
Hannah wrote at the beginning of her post.

The cumlaude graduate then said that the incident happened on the day of her graduation.
Wala akong natatandaan na nag abot sya ng pamasahe,” she said.
Hannah then hypothesized they might have been at their happiest during that time that they might not have noticed the netizen pass on to them her fare of P13, if indeed it happened.
She, however, reproached the netizen for immediately posting about the incident without even reaching out to them, if it did happen as described by the netizen on her post.
Hinintay mo pa na makababa kami ng jeep,” the cumlaude graduate said.
Hannah then indicated she wouldn’t take this incident sitting down, saying that it made their family look disgraceful.
She then revealed their plan of seeking the barangay’s help in talking with the person and asking the netizen to publicly apologize for her deed.

Recently, a post of another graduate surprising his parents on the day of his graduation. He did not inform them that he achieved the Latin distinction of "Magnacumlaude." It was only when it was already time for him to be bestowed the award on stage, when his parents came to know about it, causing his mother to shed tears. The graduate, Michael Edrian Maur, finished Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management in Butuan City.
Another news post that recently went viral is that about a grandmother who sustained several stab wounds after she allegedly did not lend money to someone. The senior citizen, according to the report of GMA's "Unang Balita," sustained eight stab wounds in Pidigan, Abra. Based on the report, a woman went to the house of the old lady and was trying to borrow P2,000. She was refused, but later came back, lured the old lady to a hill, and there carried out the crime.
