According to Amadeo Ypil, Jr., 47, the newlyweds, along with friends and family, went to a mountain resort in Sitio Mangingit, Brgy. Lower Natimao-an on Monday.

While Amadeo went home on his motorcycle, along with friends, his daughter, along with other friends and family rode on their neighbor's pickup truck.

The truck was hit with large volume of waters when they tried crossing the river on their way home.

While Rhesamie was sitting in the pickup truck, her husband, Elmer Costan, was on the truck's bed, and fell into the raging flood waters.

Rhesamie, upon seeing her husband falling into the water, jumped after him, as per the narration of her father.

“Pagtan-aw niya nga natagak iyang bana, iyang gisunod (Nang makita niyang nalaglag na ang mister, sinundan niya),” stated Ypil.

The body of Rhesamie, according to The Freeman, was found on the shores of Catmon, Cebu.

Out of the seven missing persons, the mayor of Carmen, Mayor Carlo Villamor reported that six were found, and they are still looking for the 15-year-old Mike Stanley Tungal, according to Brigada News FM Cebu, and as per the page of Mayor Villamor.
