"He gave up on that big dream, but he never forgot his hope to ride in a plane.
“Pa, makakasakay ka nang eroplano kasi approved na visa natin.”
He couldn't believe it until he was in the actual plane, gazing at the skies from the window seat. He kept filming everything, smiling, and repeatedly saying, “Ma, tignan mo ‘yung mga ulap.” My mom was sitting beside him, both fulfilling their inner child.
It was a series of firsts for my father: his first plane ride, his first international travel, his first family trip. Seeing his reaction to these milestones, I couldn’t be more thankful. Traveling makes me happy, but witnessing my parents experience things they once thought impossible makes my heart melt."
Heartwarming photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.
An example of a heartwarming post is that of Hieds Mamauag, who touched the hearts of netizens with her post. On Facebook, Mommy Hieds saw an old photo of her husband carrying sacks of plastic bags. She then recalled the times they worked at the Sta. Maria Bulacan Market. Afterwards, Mommy Hieds thanked the Lord for letting her husband rest from such work.
Another heartwarming post is that of the Philippine Coast Guard who revealed that it helped a Chinese crew when the latter cut his thumb in Antique. According to the PCG in their Instagram post, the crew was a second engineer of the Hong Kong-flagged MV BBG Qinzhou, a bulk carrier, GMA News reported. A fan blade then accidentally cut his left thumb, resulting in severe pain. The carrier was headed to Indonesia when the incident happened.
