A fresh graduate named Renz Llorente drowned in the Malogo River while celebrating his graduation with friends. This was reported by the Manila Bulletin.
The incident took place on Friday, June 21, in Barangay Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
Police Capt. Markelly Laganipa, deputy chief of the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, reported that Llorente and his friends were swimming in the river to celebrate his recent achievement.
Unfortunately, the strong current, intensified by rain, caused Llorente to drown.

Llorente was rushed to Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.
This tragic event happened just two days after Llorente graduated from the Silay Institute Inc. with a Bachelor of Science in Office Administration degree.
In his previous Facebook post, Llorente conveyed his gratitude to his family, especially his parents. He also proudly mentioned that he is first degree holder in their family.
